Christina Aguilera's My Reflection is a mirror that shows where the teen-pop diva's going (toward grown-up diva-dom as an R&B star) and where she's been (showcasing her navel on a dance-infused tour). Aguilera's first concert video, a repackaging of a slick special that aired on ABC-TV in 2000, shows what this "girl" really wants is to move beyond the bouncy R&B-flavored pop she's known for. Her cheeky hits ("Genie in a Bottle," "Come On Over, Baby," "What a Girl Wants") are followed by songs from Mi Reflejo, her Spanish-language album, and My Kind of Christmas, her holiday release. She has sweet duets with R&B legend Dr. John on "Merry Christmas, Baby" and balladeer Brian McKnight on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and shares the stage with rapper Lil' Bow Wow (weird, but it works) on "So Emotional" and "Christmas Time." Despite her inability to resist over-the-top vocal histrionics, Aguilera's range is impressive, whether she's performing a spirited rendition of Free's 1970 hit "All Right Now" or belting out Etta James's 1961 classic "At Last," after giving the blues singer a heartfelt tribute. --Valerie J. Tears of the Black Tiger Review! Watch Online!

Imagine John Ford (The Searchers), Jean-Luc Godard (Weekend), and John Waters (Pink Flamingos) collaborating on an insane 1950s melodrama, drenched in succulent Technicolor--rose-petal reds, turquoise blues, saffron yellows, and Pepto-Bismol pinks--and you're just barely encompassing the cinematic delirium of Tears of the Black Tiger. This fever dream of a movie features rival gunslingers, a poor farmboy and the daughter of a wealthy landowner, a murdered father, bloody revenge, a forced marriage, and a half-dozen other cliches stitched into a preposterous yet weirdly engaging story. But the story isn't the point; director Wisit Sasanatieng takes every opportunity to dive into a different style or device, ranging from delicate shots of a lovely girl in a mint-green gazebo to spewing gore and full-on battle with machine guns and grenade-launchers. The sets are often blatantly theatrical, the lighting exaggerated, and the acting ranges from wooden to maniacal. In short, this Thai movie is like nothing you've ever seen, born of a deep moviemania and unbridled chutzpah, and you owe it to yourself to watch it. --Bret Fetzer

Tears of the Black Tiger is a movie that everyone can enjoy together.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The movie is absolutely stunning and Suwinit Panjamawat deliver some award winning performances in this movie. I also think Chartchai Ngamsan was great!
